Wahku emerge victorious despite poor final round at Great Rift

David Wakhu triumphed in the last round of the 2021/2022 Safari Tour at Great Rift Country club Naivasha on Wednesday 13^th October.

Safari Tour serves as the qualifying tournament for the 2022 Kenya Open golf tournament.

He held a four shot lead heading into the final round but shot six bogeys amidst a disastrous back nine that saw him card a score of 76 to finish top of the bunch on a one over par 285.

Wakhu took home Kshs 276,667 which is the lowest payout to the winner this season.
