Evans Chebet and Peres Jepchirchir shine at Boston Marathon

Evans Chebet and Peres Jepchirchir have won men’s and women’s pro divisions at Boston Marathon respectively.

Peres Jepchirchir beat Ethiopia’s most outlasting Arabel Yeshaneh by four seconds in a time of 2:21:02.

Chepchirchir also becomes the first athlete to win the Olympics as well as the New York Marathon in the same year.

Evans Chebet finished in an unofficial time of 2 hours, 6 minutes and 51 seconds with Kenya’s Lawrence Cherono second in 2:07:21 and Benson Kipruto, who won last came  third in 2:07:27.
